'Monty' by Katie Hargreaves, 2023. I took the photo of Monty, my garden's resident muntjac, a few years back. I tried my luck at squeaking him in from the hedgerow, assuming he would see me in my bright white jumper. Instead, I stayed perfectly still and he hesitantly came within 15 meters of me so I could capture his portrait. Still in velvet at the time, I improvised his antlers and... may have helped him out a little!
