I took this photo out on the hill on the Isle of Skye with my friend, Scott Mackenzie. A fantastic 4 hour stalk, calling with him back and forth until we finally got right into his patch of woodland, seeing him for the first time about 10 meters away! After he saw us, he ran out of the wood, stopped, looked back and I captured this moment. It is so special to work from my own photo. It feels very holistic that I got to share this connection with the stag and now solidify that amazing moment within my work.
